What is the Fastest Way to Build a Big MLM Downline?

Image result for mlm downline imageSo, what is the fastest way to build a big MLM Downline?  Lots of folks would like to know the answer to that question, and I think I have the answer you are looking for.  As I see it, the fastest way to build a big downline in your network marketing business is to RECRUIT experienced and successful distributors into your team.  I personally believe there is a huge dierence between trying to recruit your unemployed cousin Larry and recruiting someone who already has experience in the industry, is trained properly, and believes in the industry.

Most distributors in our great industry focus on recruiting unemployed, financially destitute people who lack self condence, who do not have any type of sphere of influence, who do not have money to start or promote a business
of any kind, who do not have any entrepreneurial, sales or marketing experience and do not have any training in the network marketing industry.  As a result, they have a hard time sponsoring people and the people that they do bring into their business, they end up babysitting.

Let me tell you, that is NO way to build a large or successful network marketing business.  I’d much rather recruit five or ten people with some network marketing and entrepreneurial experience than go out and recruit 100 people who don’t have any network marketing, sales or business experience.
Of course, this is much easier said than done.  You might be wondering WHY a successful distributor would want to leave their current company and partner up with you?  Well, if you have nothing of value to offer them, they probably won’t team up with you. And if your company doesn’t have much to offer them, you are out of luck.

However, you do have a few things that you can do to make this strategy work for you.  Here are a few things I can think of.

1) Utilize MLM Genealogy Leads – You can buy genealogy leads online from network marketing companies that have went defunct.  In many cases, when successful distributors leave a company, or when companies go out of business, the company sells their genealogy reports to lead companies.  The benefit of buying genealogy leads is that you know everyone on the list has been in the industry at one point or another and many of them will be receptive to rejoining the industry, if you approach them the right way.  Of course, lots of the information will be outdated.  People will have moved, died, or had their number changed. But if you make it a point to call 20 to 50 leads every day for at least a year, you will have plenty of good people to sponsor.

2) Focus on Recruiting Heavy Hitters – My next piece of advice is to focus on recruiting heavy hitters. Contact successful distributors in the industry and see if they are open minded to switching companies. Before you just pitch them though, focus on building a friendship with them first.  The truth is that many heavy hitters are looking for a new company to join.  And if they join YOU, they will bring their team with them, which will make your downline grow FAST.  Another great group of people to target is business owners and sales professionals who already work on merit based pay (commission only) and are open minded about making money that way.  People such as realtors, attorneys, insurance agents and sales professionals make great prospects.

3) Position Yourself as an Expert – You want to position yourself as an expert.  You should never claim you are a Top Earner if you are not one, HOWEVER, you can take the one thing you are really good at (whatever it may be) and build a blog, a YouTube Channel, or create an eBook about that particular subject.  For instance, if you are amazing at making sales with in home parties, you can be the Home Party Guru and build a brand around that.  That is a great (and smart) way to build your business and attract successful people into your business.

As a quick disclaimer, I should tell you that this is not some idea that will magically work for you overnight. You need to work hard, develop a plan, and be persistent for at least a year or two.  Also, individual results will vary.
The bottom line is that it’s much smarter to focus on recruiting a few quality people into your team than it is to go out and try to recruit hundreds of amateurs.  Look for successful people to sponsor. Target entrepreneurs and other successful network marketers.  Find people with sales, marketing and business experience who have a large sphere of influence. Focus on those folks and you won’t have to sponsor as many people to achieve success and build a big downline.
